This piece was inspired by our view out of the porthole on the disney ship. This was the first piece that I did on pastelbord, and I love it as a surface, even for oil pastels. Picks up nicely and allows you to blend well.
This actually was my very first acrylic painting. My husband, son, and I had just gotten back from an awesome cruise through the Panama Canal (incidentally, this is the last year that the repositioning cruises will go through the old canal - the new wider one should be open in 2016).
This is based on a picture we took at 4:30AM, of the port of San Diego from the ship. Wondrous sight, fun to paint!
Gift for my lovely Mother-in-Law, Xmas 2015
This piece was done with alcohol ink on Yupo paper.
Ms Ginger is a frequent guest at our house. I painted this portrait for her staff.
